The morning started off as usual. Logan waking me up at 6:30 for his "pink milk". And Madeline soon followed. I decided to make bacon and waffles for breakfast. Ok, I'm not as good as daddy who makes homemade buttermilk waffles, but my Leggo my Eggo waffles were going to have to do. Gavin came trotting down the stairs around 7:15. I immediately started singing, "school days, school days, don't break no golden rule days". Is that how it goes? Eh, probably not, but whatever. My parents used to sing the same exact song to us on our first day of school. And I got the same reaction my parents did when they sang it to us, "Mom, stop!!!"
Gavin ate his breakfast. We all got dressed and were ready to go. Here he is all ready to walk out the door.

When I picked him up he was all smiles and asked if he had to go to school tomorrow. I told him he did. I was all ready for the whining to begin, " I don't want to go! Why do I have to go back?" But all he said was, "Ok, but I want to ride the bus." Sometimes this kids amazes me. So Phil and I will discuss it alittle more, but maybe starting next week he can ride the bus home.
So that was Gavin's big day. And I am so proud of him for being such a big boy. And proud of myself for not crying this morning. ;)
