Where is the long, luxurious bubble bath? I do get a bath but usually it's me trying to take a bath while kids keep knocking on the door. Or Madeline coming in asking questions, or giving permission to use some of their bath toys and then throwing them in.
Where's my goddess crown?
So here's a few short(or maybe long, depending on how much is really buried deep down) letters to express my feelings....
Dear Laundry,
Where in the H-E double hockey sticks are you coming from? I mean really...everytime I turn around there you are piled in the hamper. I know I just washed two loads of your friends yesterday. OK, I might not of folded and put away your friends, but I definitely know they got clean and dry. I don't like you laundry! I don't mind putting you in the washer, then the dryer, but could you help me out a little...could you just magically fold yourself & then put yourself away? That would be great. And please, please quit reproducing! I feel like I could channel Bob Barker, "Please have your clothes spayed & neutered."
Sincerely, The Lady of the House
Dear Dishes,
I pretty much have the same thing to say to you as I did Laundry. I'm tired of washing you. If I wasn't trying hard to be more earth friendly(see yesterday's post) I would just buy paper plates. I don't have a lovely dishwasher where I could put you then turn a knob and Wha-la!....you're clean. I have to wash each and every one of you. So have a little talk with the laundry, come up with a plan to help me out. I know you guys can do it!
Thanks!
Dear sick kids,
I love you. I know you don't feel well. I wish I could make it all go away. But please quit being Mr. & Mrs. Crankypants with me. I'm trying to keep my cool, I really am. Just because you are sick doesn't mean I'm your maid. You are not THAT sick that you can't get up and put your stuff away. I will cuddle you. I will take care of you. But if you are feeling well enough to get toys out and play with them, you can surely put them away.
Love, Your mommy
P.S. I'm on to you. I know you are in cahoots with the dishes & the laundry. You can't fool me.
Now don't get me wrong. I love my life and everything in it, but like everyone I need to vent. And I feel this is the best place for it. Why not jot down my thoughts & feelings here? I can do it in a comical way and not take out my frustrations on my dishes/ laundry. Now I'm off to go find my crown. Maybe it's under that pile of clothes that have yet to be folded. ;-)
